what size canvases do you paint on?
Most popular size is 40x50cm.
I also do bigger canvases or square canvases, no smaller than 30cmx30cm
watercolours are on A4 paper.
Do you paint from photos?
I paint from good quality, clear, detailed photos. You can email me these and we can discuss composition and suitability. For local customers I offer a free service of meeting you and taking photos myself.
Any photo taking tips?
Try and get eye contact with your pet, and even better, same eye level. Avoid too bright light or too dark light.
I suggest you have your pet indoors facing a window in natural daylight with someone standing behind the photographer showing a treat or a favourite toy.
sometimes having a dog sitting in the boot of the car can really be a good “higher” position.
lots of patience is needed for this, but mobile phones take really good photos!
How long does it take to complete the portrait
it takes me approximately 2/3 weeks.
